Well what a weekend that was, Saturday Morning arrived, got down to the track, and as soon as the gates opened the Juniors started rolling in, 34 Riders (17 Teams) great turn out for the Kids, they went out for the practice with Craig, the track was approx 7kms long so the kids were all going for it and the amazing part was that most of the teams finished the 4 hrs, with only a couple of minor accidents, so well done to all the kids who finished the day, you are all welcome back on 26th of July to do it all again. Sunday morning came around really quickly, and we were back down the track early and there was a full car park of campers, once the gates opened again, the flow of traffic coming in was like the Mitchell fwy on a Monday morning, around 9.00am at the riders meeting I was standing on the start / finish line jump thinking, OH Sh!t look how many people are here, the pits flowed out to the start line, Craig took the whole group out for the practice lap approx 23 kms, then the pro's A took the line followed by experts B, Clubman C, Ladies, 4x4 & Ironman. The first few laps were intense everyone was going for sheep stations, At the lunch time break there where only seconds between some of the riders and some simply had enough and packed it in as the track started to take it's toll on some of the riders and their Quads. But at the front of The pack after lunch Ant & Brett Yewers were sharing the lead with Brett P & Steve Trandos with some seriously fast lap times, with Warrick & Ben from Savage Suzuki following in a distant third place, there was that many entries in expert & clubman I didn't have a clue who was in what position but the racing was fast & furious, the ladies were mixing it up with the guys which was great to see, and the most crazy part of my day was seeing the guys riding the massive 4x4 quads with the Lounge suite on the back, it was an amazing weekend, congratulations to all that finished, so the end results are 115 entries (54 teams, 7 iron man) Pros A grade 1st Team 112 16 laps 4:19.21 Brett P / Steve T by 33 seconds 2nd Team 110 16 Laps 4:20.06 Ant / Brett Y 3rd Team 106 15 laps Warrick & Ben Expert B grade 1st Team 231 15 laps Matthew / Graham 2nd Team 223 14 laps Brad / Michael 3rd Team 330 13 laps Adam / Steve (eve) Clubman C grade 1st Team 377 14 laps Adam / Kyle 2nd Team 366 14 laps Scott / Andrew 3rd Team 370 14 laps Adrian / David Ladies 1st Team 460 Roxy / Sharan 2nd Team 461 Bernice / Michelle 3rd DNF 4X4's 1st Team 463 Jason / Blair 2nd DNF 3rd DNF IronMan 1st No 6 12 laps Corey Letch (with no muffler) 2nd DNF 3rd DNF Blaster Kids 1st Kyle / Don 2nd Harley / Chris 3rd Aston / Tyson Junior Kids 1st Braden / Alex 2nd Jack / Tom 3rd James / PJ So I will finish with this, 149 competitors over two days would have to be a club record ;D Thanks To: The Commitee GinGin Shire Dewar Earthmoving Powersports WA Westrac National Hire Limestone Industries (Water Truck) Westcoast Honda Savage Suzuki Timing Staff Canteen staff Marshalls & Sweeps Balshaws (filming & flowers) The Ambo's & all the Riders for making it a great weekend See you all on the 26/27th July to do it again in reverse ;D

besides burning my finger on a can-am exhaust and finding a tick on my chest, I enjoyed filming the event as well as riding portions of the track. Even though people didn't like the whoops, i thought it was great fun gunning through them when i had the chance awaiting the next one
