i bought one from interstate (sydney) a few years ago and used northline transport. the seller shipped the quad in a crate so it was classified as general cargo and only cost about $700 for shipping based on the size and weight of the crate. if it is shipped as a quad the best price i could find at the time was about $2000.
the other problem with buying interstate is checking the bike over before you buy it and making sure everything is on the bike when it arrives. can be very hard if there is some form of dispute over the sale

From Adelaide, spent hours on ph yesterday, best price uncrated about $980,or crated $762.Ended up ringing an old mate who I know used to run over there he'll do it for $300 and it'll be on next truck going past from Melbourne. Jimmyo,I suppose that's a chance you have to take unfortunately trying to get honest advice but the seller was very helpful and the whole family is into it so hopefully it'll be a good thing!
