As a lead up to the upcoming Pony Express Round 3 we are going to be having a Busy Bee day out at the track. All members are invited to come along and lend a hand to help us prepare the track and main parking area. Work will be starting at 10am on the Sunday and after the Busy Bee the track will be locked and unavailable for use until after the Pony Express. If you are able to come along and help out let me know and if you are able to bring along some tools or a trailer to help with the clean up that would be even better.

i hope theres a few members available tomoz to do some light work around the club. we are on show next week and it would be nice to have the place lookign somewhat cared for.
I hope some people can spare the time so its not just 2-3 people like normal. It would be a shame to have to increase the membership fees and make people work the day for credit back like all the MA clubs do(or similar)
If you use the facility then please take some time to care for it for the benefit of all members
Cheers

Kuddles 1 - Whats you membership number? and when did you join ATVWA 2- How many busy bees have you attended 3- show me a cheaper club to join that gives you access to a track all year round 24/7 and organises events all year round 4- Show me anything positive at all youve done for this club.
So by not attending you along with everyone else (as there were 4 committee members turn up on the day only) have forced our hand into potentially doing what every other club does and put it on your membership and return the money after you attend to the busy bee days when they are organised. A negative minded person might say this may deter a potential member A positive minded person would say it will attract genuine members who are WILLING to assist the club to go forward. Take your pick on which category you are in. Sorry to be blunt mate (and any other reader)but thats how it is. Any money gained from this will go directly back into track prep and prizes for our events anyway, or possibly instead of using our own equipment on busy bee days maybe the club could buy some and have their own to use.
If you want your say on what happens then please feel free to attend the AGM in december where any opinions will be discussed and acted on, maybe even take up a committee position and really get involved .....however you may have to attend busy bees and help organise events. You may also find out the EXACT financial position of the club at this meeting also.
End RANT

Well said Teeroy.
I would have been there to help out if it wasnt for personal reasons (in the middle of moving house) and Im not even a member.
The average rider has no idea how hard it is to manage and maintain a venue and the costs associated with doing so. Thats without even putting on an event and providing prizes etc for it.
The current price is fair for an open access track but I think you should have to put in if you dont participate in a support roll instead of competing at one event or busy bee though out the year. It could mean riding sweep one day or serving cold drinks. Its not that hard and people of this generation need to learn to give back a little bit instead of taking all the time.

Sorry that you seem to have taken my post as being directed at you Mr kuDDles. It was a generalisation of the facts and info presented in this thread and my opinion of them. It was not directed at anyone.
At least you spelt my name right though.

give it a rest Kuddles we all know the only kid you got is urself. if people like urself put as much effort into helping the club as creating bullshit on the forum we wouldn't need to look at options like this to cover costs. unfortunately the track doesn't get mentioned on its own.
also pretty sure that the membership fee is very reasonable for key to a track that is safe to ride at whenever you want.
but seriously thanks to the guys who spent there time up there on sunday getting the place ready for the pony next week.

sorry guys, im gonna have 2 answer u 1 @ 1 time coz there just so many, ill start wit teeroy... Kuddles 1 - Whats you membership number? and when did you join ATVWA 2- How many busy bees have you attended 3- show me a cheaper club to join that gives you access to a track all year round 24/7 and organises events all year round 4- Show me anything positive at all youve done for this club. i wouldnt say im in ur catagory of "positive minded" , im more "open minded" So by not attending you along with everyone else (as there were 4 committee members turn up on the day only) have forced our hand into potentially doing what every other club does and put it on your membership and return the money after you attend to the busy bee days when they are organised. You may also find out the EXACT financial position of the club at this meeting also. End RANT #1 i join the club last yr but didnt no renew mi membrship dis yr #2 not1 #3 wen ur comparin atvwa to a ma (base mebership bout +$200ish a yr) club it aint cheap guys and i know u guys r just gona rip me for "not being a member" and "not pitchn in" but how can u realy justify $150 for a single wen u can get a 2 adults and kids family membrship 4 $200. #4 well teeroy, u make a sujestion or a commment and u get burnt 4 it Well said Teeroy. I would have been there to help out if it wasnt for personal reasons (in the middle of moving house) and Im not even a member. Its not that hard and people of this generation need to learn to give back a little bit instead of taking all the time. fozzy is u read my first post i think u mite find i said "fair point teeroy, ppl shuld pul der weight." so i wasnt disagreen wit no1 i was supportn the whole idea if getn ppl down there give it a rest Kuddles we all know the only kid you got is urself. if people like urself put as much effort into helping the club as creating bullshit on the forum we wouldn't need to look at options like this to cover costs. unfortunately the track doesn't get mentioned on its own. also pretty sure that the membership fee is very reasonable for key to a track that is safe to ride at whenever you want. but seriously thanks to the guys who spent there time up there on sunday getting the place ready for the pony next week. yawn yawn yawn...."ppl like me" hay, i wuld expet that from u micheal. enogh said i think in regard 2 ppl like u Mr kuddles, how would you attract members to a busy bee day then? Any ideas are welcome id drop the membership fee next yr from $150 to $100 for singles n $200 to $150 for familys to boost numbrs then i would suggest that every paying meber that attents a busy bee will the not have to pay entry to a pony, ride day or poker run event. and instead of havn a busy bee the weeknd b4 a club event have it 2weeks so ppl arnt comits 2 weeks in a row. gives more ppl flexabity. y charge ppl more on there membership? btw thanks jimmyo u seem 2 b the only civil person

Like i said mate, come to the agm and find out what that would mean to the club to drop that much off each membership. You have a event list to know whats coming up, not everyone can go every weekend. There isnt a cheaper option to join a club with a track that you get exclusive access to.
1 - Good to see you read all the info when you joined last year 2 - hmm...didnt see that coming did we 3 - Rubbish! so my 6 year old should pay the same as you? you discount families coz thats what most of us are in and want to ride somewhere safe for our families. 4- Congraats on your first ever constructive post, When you rip on people and just flame everything, thats when you get burnt!!
